I am attempting to change my clutch and throw out bearing etc.. I am at the point to pull the tranny but I cant get the top four bolts on the bell housing does anyone have any tips or tricks to do this only options I see are remove the cab or pull the engine and tranny completely out neither of which are desirable need help asap . I thank you in advance for any advice.

I've done this on my 2003 Dakota 2WD, and didn't need to pull the cab or the engine. With the rear crossmember removed, you should be able to lower the rear of the transmission enough (keep a close eye on the fan-fan shroud-radiator clearance) to get some long extensions up alongside the bell housing to get to the bolts. If the transfer case is causing clearance problems, remove it from the transmission.
