Purchased the Michelin LTX M/S 2 in 235/75/R15 last night through my local Discount Tire.

First impression of this set of tires is excellent, even though I've only put 10 miles on them. However, they far out-perform the incredibly old, weather checked, low/unevenly worn tread of the BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A. The ride is substantially quieter, although, new BFG versus new Michelin, I would be sacrificing off road grip and load capacity. But given I won't be taking the Dakota off road, let alone towing anything substantial with it, the Michelin tires will be more than necessary for the truck's needs in the future.

These tires will most likely be the last that I will purchase for the Dodge with its 70,000 mile treadwear. Whether or not the tires will last 70,000 miles, they will far outlast the pickup overall.

Price: $587.53 less $100 Presidents' Day rebate through Discount Tire. Total $487.53.

I have had those and the LTX A/T's on some of my trucks and Jeeps, can't be beat.
Though I liked the original version better than the A/T2's... unforunately I think that they discontinued the A/T version. The Defender M/S is just out, have not tried them yet. I just had to put tires on my 96 4WD, and had to "settle" for Cooper AT3's cuz I couldn't come up with the extra cash for the Michelins.
As an old alignment guy, it was quite shocking, the difference that just bolting on a set of different tires would make on any given vehicle....and you could never beat a Michelin....

I always put Michelin on the wife and kids cars. I priced them for our Dakota but seeing as it came to me with 5 different brand tires all the same size I used a coupon and put the optional tire on in a General Tire product. New tires and alignment
like a different truck. I move my tires front to back every oil change. I also take turns to fast all the time. I have put 15000 miles on them and they look like the day they were mounted. I have made it clear to the wife and kids, leave the truck in the middle of the street if you have to but don't curb my tires. Steve

I posted this nearly a year ago, a year that was very different for all of us. It looks like I only drove 11,000 miles which puts 26,000 miles on my General tires. They are starting to show a little wear and I took a small finishing nail in the center of one. As a part of trying to figure out my running issues, it seems my truck likes cool rain. I'm beginning to notice the rears breaking traction under power in the wet. The tires I selected were chosen on wet traction. Because I tend to make long one day trips 1000 miles or more the next set will be Michelin. Steve
