Hey new guy here, I've been contemplating buying a dakota but my limiting factor comes down to whether or not it would be able to haul a two horse trailer. Your truck just happens to be the first I've seen even hooked up to a horse trailer let alone pulling it. I guess my question is, do you notice any swaying or issues towing on the interstate? I wouldn't be towing far at most about 40-50 miles one way. I know most people say to just buy a full size but i have no need for a full size if this can pull a stock/horse trailer.
Just an update on towing with a Dakota,
I tow a 20ft sailboat with mine,(deep keel) 3000lb plus trailer 900lb....
I sold a rust-bucket old style Bronco to a couple a 100mi away, they came and towed it back by hitch with a 02 Durango,
A friend of mine just bought a 02 QC4x4 parts truck,towed it 90mi with his 97 Dakota SC4x4....
These are tuff trucks just a little smaller....
