Default wiring new strobes

i bought a few strobe lights from autozone and was reading the instructions. would like advice on wiring. they come with a power switch in line. can i tie the power and negative straight to the battery or should i buy a inline fuse connector or tie in with a fuse in box? dont want to have to much power and blow the switch or line and burn anything. thank you in advance
