Unhappy Need HELP

Hi everybody, My Name is Mitch Thurmer, located in Benton TN.2001 Dodge Dakota 4.7 v8, Extended Cab. 4WD SLT, High miller but the engine is lower miles and EVERYTHING works except 1 thing..When I bought this it has a infinity speaker sys and some one put a pioneer radio/cd in it. It would on play on passenger side and last week, it went silent, I was ale to turn it wide open and hear music but not right. I put another Dodge Radio out of another Dakota same thin, I am going to have to by pass the AMP. Anything I need to know

Maybe purchase an amp from ebay and replace it...OK, better yet go to crutchfield.com and search for your year and model, they have many helpful photos on their site. Might not solve your issue, but then again maybe it will. I am in the mind that whomever installed the Pioneer deck wasn't sure how to either bypass the infinity amp and they may have connected the receievers internal amp to the infinity causing it to fault out. You should be able to bypass the infinity amp and connect the receivers internal amp directly to the speakers, but it would require rewiring from the head unit direct to the speakers.
