Default 88 4x4 steering bushing? on intermediate shaft Help

Sorry ahead of time for my ignorance this is my first time trying to repair something on steering dept on top of I'm trying to post pics for the first time, but.my question is if you can see the pics the rubber bushing came out of the cup in the other pic, I bought the truck like this and don't know how it was setup originally and cant find no diagram on it, but to me looks like it's missing a bolt or a clip or something to hold that tight at the 2 holes on each side of the cup and also does any 1 know the terminology for the shaft and the rubber bushing that's chewed up, it's hard to find a replacment when you don't know the name of the part or how it looked originally, so any help is greatly appreciated, Thanks.

I'm not seeing a photo of the rubber you mentioned, but there is usually a rubber disc type object called a rag joint. Is that what you're referring to?

Best bet is take a trip down to the local pick and pull yard and find a similar truck so that you can see how it all goes together and buy parts if need be.

Some don't have a rag joint, the dampening is built into the lower u-joint coupler (vibration coupler). Go to borgenson[dot]com that will help you out in identifying parts.

I have to rebuild mine, you can get the couplers of ebay for a lot cheaper, but maybe cheaply made. It's your steering so don't skimp.

Someone else mentioned flamingriver[dot]com
