Cargo box mounting bolts
Anyone have any experience with removing a short bed from a 2nd gen Dakota? I'm exploring swapping mine for a less rusty one and was wondering just how many bolts hold it on. The FSM doesn't mention how many it takes or even show the location of them except one.
I know I will need to get new bolts as the originals are one-time use but at this point I am just exploring the possibility of obtaining a bed that is in better condition than this one.

Well, I've used the bolts in my 1988 twice more already.
The 8' bed had four down each side (eight total) holding it plus one more for the grounding straps.
I'd pull one bolt and use that to match.

Thanks Ralph. Now I have an idea of how many to look for.
