Default Question about Spark Plugs

So I have a '08 Dakota 4.7L V8

Is it true that my truck has 16 spark plugs like HEMI's do? I bought 8 NGK Laser Platinum SP's and replaced 8 SP's on the top of the engine. Then, come to find out there's another 8 under the engine? What's up with that is that true? I couldn't really see any buy my Uncle who worked for Chrysler said starting in 08 their Magnum V8's had 2 SP's per cylinder.

Is he right? The dude at O'Reilly's told me I only needed 8 SP's but he easily could have been wrong.

And if I do need 8 more, are they the same size or different?

So I think I figured it out. The one's I replaced were considered the "Intake Side" spark plugs. So now I have to replace the "Exhaust side" spark plugs too? Damn that's a lot of work lol

If you have a 4.7L V8, you only have 8 spark plugs. If you have the 5.7L V8, you have 16 spark plugs, but only 8 coils over the intake side spark plugs. Wires from the exhaust side plugs go into the coils, but in a very specific sequence.

The 2008-2011 Dakota 4.7 engines do have 16 spark plugs. The lower plugs are supposed to be good until the 96K service interval. I believe the lower plugs are platinum plugs.

Thanks for the info. You ever change them yourself? It seems like it'll be difficult to do
