    Hi Ramtech,
    Hi BlueJet,
Trying to find my way around this forum.
Did you see my question about a 2000 Dodge Dakota Truck that starts fine, but when shut off won't restart for at least 15 minutes, then starts. We have put in 2 cans of Seafoam in a pretty full gas tank, but not sure if it's a fuel pump or an electrical problem. Also, if it is a fuel pump can a non mechanic install it or is it dangerous? Thinking of cutting a hole in the bed of the truck to replace it.
    Thanks,
    dixielee

the stock height? I forgot to measure my truck before I added the suspensionmax it had 245/75/16 on it, it now has 265/75/16 I raised in front and leveled it but i had to raise it some more to clear the 265/75/16 it measures now at 39" from the bottom of the center fender front and rear I still have a 2" add a leaf that I haven't installed yet, but from a distance it looks like it sits a little low in the back. Is the rear wheel well higher in the back than the front I can't remember. Thanks, Paul

Ok, got it from the local dealer svc. dept. that the drive axles disengage from the front dif. in 2WD. Thanks RT.
Another ?: Two places want to sell me a Transfer Case for $1200 (rebuilt), Two places want to sell me used for $350. They're all giving me different model nos. The "NP 231" is consistent. One source says that the '94s all used the same one. What letters should follow NP 231? Or is a New Process 231 always a NP231 with removable mounting flanges for the given app?
If you can spare the time, I appreciate the help.
    Thanks,
    micky

The axles stay engaged with the hubs. I don't know if there is an aftermarket conversion for lockers on these trucks.

    Hi RT,
I have a '94 Sport Dakota. A friend thinks that when you are in 2WD, the front dif is supposed to disengage from the drive shafts. Is that true, because mine does not.
If there is no such function, what would it take to install locking hubs, as I have not been able to find any in production.
    I appreciate any help,
    thanks.

If I remember correctly, the doors are the same and the window regulator/motor is what's different.

Hey guy. Got a question for you. Would you know if the doors of the 1st generation Dakota ('92-93 for sure) are different between the ones with power windows and the ones with manual windows? I'm wanting power windows on my '92 that I am building and I had gotten a pair of doors with all of the power window components but the left door has damage and I can't use the door itself. I hadn't had the chance to open them up and wondered if you might know offhand. Thanks, Bill
