Default Front brake rotors

Hey all,
I have a 2006 Quad Cab 4X4 and noticed recently that when I apply the brakes, I feel a little shimmy coming from the front end. I am thinking the rotors are warped a little. I had a 1998 Dakota before and went through 2 sets of front rotors because they would warp easily. I finally spent a little extra money and bought some good aftermarket rotors instead of the cheap over the counter rotors from parts stores. Does anyone else have any issues with their Dakota brake rotors being warped? My truck has 150K miles on it. Has anyone had to replace their rotors due to some shimmy from the rotors being warped? If anyone has gone with over the counter parts store rotors, how have they held up?

Is there a lot of activity on this site? I don't see a lot of new topics since the last time I was here.

So far I've had no problems with the O'Reilly rotors I buy. I've used their/our rotors for the last 10 years with no warping problems.

If the rotor is warping I would check into the condition of the calipers (if they're sticking it would cause premature pad wear and warping from heating up) and wheel bearings. Instead of using the brakes often, downshift instead. Don't ride brakes. Make sure rear shoes are good and the hardware is working properly. Weak rear brakes cause the front to wear faster as well.

Yes, multiple times until I purchased better than stock rotors. 142,000 miles on my Dakota. I have noise from rear brakes so probably time for service (they are original)

Okay I have looked at a couple of post concerning front brakes. My issue is the right front brake wearing out faster than the left one. In fact the left looks like new and the right looks like hell deep scratches and grooves. This will make the second time I’ve had replace the right side. I cannot seem to find the cause nor can the mechanics I’ve gone to so far.
