Looking to find out if anybody has ever taken the power lock and window features and put them into a base 89 Dakota. Looks like power regulator, power lock, switch panel, and harness can be taken out of the 88. It's unclear right now if the 89 has the wiring harness plugs under the dash for the harness to go into.

If the 1989 has the wiring, it'll be fairly easy. If not, well, get all the wiring in the dash also.

"Vehicle: 1984 Dodge Dakota 1st Gen"? They didn't make them until 1987.

I guess it won't work I looked for the wiring harness on the driver side behind the dash that I had seen in the 88 and they don't exist. I'm sure I could do some hacking and whacking but I don't think it's worth the effort

well, I just put a door from an 87 with manual crank windows and manual locks onto a 96.... had to drill a couple holes but that was about it. the 96 is factory power windows/locks. still have the other one to do.
