Just bought a low mile 90 Dakota ASC convert with 3.9 automatic. Any ideas for adding a little power?

- Types of intakes or filters?

- Exhaust mods?

- Chips or tunes?

First one I've had so I appreciate your responses and input.

Great truck so far.

Carol Shelby discovered switch from a belt driven fan to an electric fan added 5hp when when shoehorned a 318 into the 1989 Dakota. I Don’t know if the 90s already have electric fans. My ‘89 3.9L has a belt driven fan.

I’ had my ‘89 convertible since ‘91 and became a 1st gen Dakota fan right after. I had a couple more since then that I used as a true truck. I picked up a Shelby a couple is years ago.

I switched to split fire plugs in my 3.9 decades ago gas mileage improved but don’t know if there was any power increase.
