1998 Dodge Dakota 4x4 5.2 overheating problems
My truck keeps overheating (only 125K miles ). I have replaced water pump, 3 “fail safe” thermostats which stay open once the engine overheats. I have replaced temp sensor unit.
Truck has NO electric fan

Any experience, solutions and suggestions with to fix overheating issue is appreciated.
Thanks,

Did you replace the fan clutch when you changed the water pump?
Have you ever replaced the radiator cap?

Could the rad, itself, be plugged up and not circulating well?

Are you losing coolant?

More likely the cap but it should be spewing if it is. The rest are all good ideas.

Do a pressure test.
If you don’t have the tools borrow one from AZ or other auto parts store.
While your at it yes Va pick up a new cap and thermostat if they’re both old.
