My dakota has just over 200,000 miles on it and it just started smoking a little. I noticed that it only does it on warm days, not in the winter. Everytime I start off from a stop sign or light, I notice a little cloud of white smoke. My brother in law says it's the valve stem seals. I just wanted to see what yall think. Any info. would be greatly appreciated.

I currently have this same issue brother. I took it to the mechanicAnd he says it is from the leaky valve stem seals. For some reason go all he did was just that check of driving it around leaving it in idle park and then stepping. For some reason he wants the truck to be taken to a machine shop so that the heads can be machined. Which is a 6 hour labor. 2900 dollars for the repair
