94 Dakota Power Window Questions

My power driver side window has stopped working. It was running slowly for quite a while and has now stopped operating (fortunately in the up position), I am thinking it is the motor, however, the driver side switch which controls the passenger side window is also not operating. The single passenger side switch on the passenger side door is working fine. Could it be something other than the driver side motor. Would that going out cause the switch for the passenger side window to not work as well?
