I have a problem with the electrical on my 2005 Dodge Dakota, the backup light remains on even if the ignition switch is turned off. I've had to disconnect a lug from the battery.

Two days ago I took the truck to a Dodge dealership in Spruce Grove, they worked on the truck for three hours costing me $575.00, and they still had not fixed the problem. One of the things they came back to me was about my spark plugs and said they needed replacing, I got upset and told them the problem I have is with the backup light, and the spark plugs will be replaced by myself.

Due to an emergency I had to leave and will be returning the truck again on Monday.

Is this normal when you have problems with your Dodge Dakota, is it that hard to diagnose???
