Like the subject says, very bad and embarrassing coming from the front right corner. Were it all apart, I would obviously know exactly where it was coming from. Truck is an 08. Had a look, and I'm pretty sure it's coming from the ball joint in the lower control arm that's connected to the steering knuckle. Anyone else had squeaky issues like this?

Yes; it was the ball joints on my 1988 also.

May I suggest REPLACE THEM NOW. Do both lowers and both uppers.

Before your truck ends up looking like this:

Ended up doing the entire front end with struts which was just fine as you had to take the entire front end out in order to even get at the ball joint to begin with(4X4 only) and the only way a guy could have released the bolt holding the bottom of the strut tower in, would have been a cutting torch anyways. Very glad I had all the parts, or our vacation would have been cut quite short.

A Dakota could never ever look like a Toyota. I would never have a Toyota even if I got it for free including license and title plus free gas, insurance, and maintenance (including parts AND labor) on MY terms.
