I just picked up a low mileage (46K) 2011 Dakota Big Horn 4.7 4WD. It is bone stock. I would like a bed mat. Really don't want to do a liner or paint in liner. Can only find one online and the reviews are not great. Any suggestions?
I used a sheet of discarded 3/4" plywood in the back or my 1981 GMC Sierra for probably 20 years. Grippy enough that stuff didn't skate around too much, but I could still slide appliances in.
Your headed for a rusted bed.
Moisture and all kinds of stuff goes on under the mats.
I have two trucks.
One had sprayed bed liner. No problems.
One had mat. Paint peeling and rust starting.
Looks like he (Dr. Awesome) already has a spray in bed liner besides the mat. I have the spray in on my 2003 and there is not a speck of rust, or any other issues.
Yeah I did the spray in myself with a kit over a weekend. I recommend getting 2 kits and doing it thick as shit! Seems to dry a lot slower but the end result is better. Make sure u use two of the same kit if u go my route.
