i have a 2000 dodge dakota rt and it feels like it is misfiring. I replaced plugs, wires, cap and rotor problem was still there. I had the injectors, throttle body, etc. cleaned and the problem is still there. I dont feel it as much at idle as i do when im driving. Does anybody know if this could be a blown head gasket or something else? Pleasae help!

Thanks

i have the same year and model truck as you, hope its not a blown head gasket

i think you can check using a compression tester, you can get one at harbor freight for less than 10 bucks

^^^ I agree, I would pull all the plugs and check the compression. All the cylinders should be very close. If the gasket is blown, those cylinder pressures will be quite a bit lower than the rest.

compression test would be easiest. what did the plugs look like when you pulled them did they look like they were covered in oil or in a glossy substance
