Brake Clutch Clearance

I am rebuilding a 46rh transmission and I'm almost done with it, but I was attempting to find a new spacer shim that would give me the proper clearance for the brake clutch. I went to a local transmission shop and brought the overdrive with me to ask about a new shim, but the guy there told me that the shim I have at .125" would be fine and that he never really worries about it. I told him I hadn't met the proper clearance of at least .095" but he told me I'm overthinking it and that I don't need to worry about finding the .193" spacer I was looking for. I am just barely short of being in the proper clearance, like .015" too little, and it makes me a bit nervous. I really don't want to have to pull the trans apart again, am I actually overthinking this or should I continue to look for a .193" shim to avoid clearance issues? Any help is appreciated.

For context, I'm taking a 46rh 2wd unit that has all new parts and transferring the overdrive parts over to another 4wd output shaft from the original unit. I accidently took the original shim to the scrap yard already that came with the 4wd unit, not realizing I should of kept the applied piston. So the shim is out of the 2wd unit, but in a different housing than it was before.
