In the last couple months, whenever I go to start my truck it goes to turn over for a few seconds, if i hold it for about 3-5 seconds it will eventually start up, but if I let go and turn the key again it will start right up. I haven't yet replaced anything, been trying to do some research first before I start tearing it apart. It will start right up when it's been running. But once the truck sits and starts to cool down again, it will do the same thing. I haven't noticed any difference in performance.

For the time being, get your battery load tested. Cold's one hell of a killer on batteries. Once the engine is warm, it's much easier for the battery to put forth the amps required for the starter to kick it over.
