2010 V8 EXT CAB BIG HORN, AUTO TRANS58K MILES. Got to replace upper/lower ball joints and tie-rod ends. Common problem at this milage?
Any other high failure rate items I should be aware of? I have a 1988 and a 1996 Dakota, both 3.9L six cylinder reg cab Sports. Had to do them also but 127k on 96 and 88k on 1988. Thanks !

The front ends are the weak spot on our Dakotas, not surprising at 58K that some parts need replacement. Do yourself a favor and replace the parts with aftermarket parts, which are a huge improvement over the weak OEM parts. Rockauto has a great selection, Moog is the popular brand, followed by Deeza, Movotech, Raybestos and a few others.
