Hello all.

First things first, forgive me if I've posted this in the wrong forum section. I couldn't find the troubleshooting forum, but my question is related to the body of my Dakota.

Anyways, I own a 2006 Dodge Dakota Laramie (3.7L V6, Automatic Transmission). Just yesterday I noticed that the driver side headlight appeared to be opaque (I believe this is known as headlight fogging). Upon a closer look at the assembly, I also noticed a small crack running vertically from the base of the housing and I'm wondering, could this small crack have let moisture into the assembly and caused the fogging?

One more question, do online stores for aftermarket parts offer high quality parts? I've been browsing around online and have found two sites that I particularly liked, but I just want to be sure either of the sites' product is durable and dependable. Has anyone ever dealt with the following sites and can tell me if it's good?

or

Thanks in advance.

Yeah the smallest crack in a headlight can cause it to fog up.

I don't know anything about those stores though, sorry. Maybe somebody here has some for sale?

I've not dealt with either site but I would choose the auto light center product because it mets FMV standards as well as DOT/ASE. The first one doesn't appear to meet those standards.

ya any kind of crack or split will cause it easy to fix just take the light out and dry out the inside then seal any cracks with silicone should solve the problem
