Po455 came back this morning 😔.
Any tips on what to look for ?
I've got a 2003 Dakota with the 3.9L V6, and have had that code a couple of times. I think the 4.7 had the same evap system in 2001. Look under the cab on the drivers side just behind the driver's door for the charcoal canister. It should have two U-shaped tubes connected to it. These two tubes get weathered, and will crack allowing a loss of vacuum when the evap system is being checked, causing the P0455 (or P0442 if it's just a very small crack). Amazon sells aluminum connectors. See the link below. 38mm is 1-1/2", the inside diameter of the upper radiator hose. This one comes with a 1.1 bar (about 17 psi) radiator cap. Stock for Dakotas is 20 psi, but I think this should be okay.
