I'm having a problem in getting the pulley installed. I got it about half way on using a bolt threaded into the shaft. It stripped out possibly because it was the wrong size or thread. What is the size and thread required? Also what is a good way of holding the pulley while installing? I got blisters trying to hold it and resorted to a pipe wrench!

Hopefully, the threads you stripped are on the old pump. Advance Auto, AutoZone, O'Reilly's, etc all have a 'rental' kit that will make this job EASY. See the attached link for a YouTube video showing how.

I ran a tap through the shaft and got the rental kit from O'Reilly and finished putting the pulley on with no problem. I had a removal tool but didn't know there was an installation tool. Thanks for the info!
