never received any kind of key fobs with this truck

Hmmm..that's a bit strange..did you buy it used?

The CTM (central timer module) will have the RKE (remote keyless entry) antenna
..if the truck came with that feature.
yes, just purchased about a month ago..where and what does this antenna look like?

The antenna for RKE is an integral part with the HIGH line CTM module.

In addition, the HIGHLINE CTM provides the following features:

• Central locking
• Door lock inhibit

• Horn chirp
• Optical chirp

The Central Timer Module is located at the left (driver' side) kick panel.

If it has RKE feature, there should be a sticker with a partnumber and a label
indicating "HIGH".

The antenna is INSIDE the CTM module.

I'm having a real problem trying to add remote control locks on my '95 Dakota SLT.

I've got just about everything from the factory on my Dakota, excepting fog lights and RKE.

I've been working on a way to incorporate that on mine, but cannot find the Central Timer Module (CTM).. I have nothing in the left foot kick panel.

How could I have all those features without a TCM?

I understand, I need the Highline TCM., but no CTM at all???

Can't find the "ground" button under the dash as well...nor the 16 pin diagnostic connector.

Help me please, Herm

It's a 1995, you won't have the 16 pin diagnostic connector that came in 1996 with the OBDII specs and the JTEC controller.

As to how you can have the others without a CTM - it's a pre-CTM truck, you won't have a CTM, that was introduced with the 1997 trucks as I understand it.

How did the other functions work? "With bear skins and stone knives, Captain."

Grab the factory service manual sometime and peruse its wiring diagrams.

Thank you very much for your speedy reply, and info.

There's all kinds of info on the internet about availability of the remote key programming for a '95 Dakota.

My reasoning was that I'm a collector of info on the Dakota. I have a '95 accessory brochure, and they show a remote lock with key fobs (with picture and description)...not much else...nice picture of unit.

What did they add to to install the remote (RKE)???

I don't want to install an aftermarket .
There is zero information for RKE in the service manual.

I have no idea.

Might have been a dealer-installed option; in which case, there's no telling.

Do you have the factory service manual for your truck?

I have keyless entry... I just don't lock mine!!!
Thank you!

I just bought a shop manual...looks like nearly perfect condition for $29.95...GREAT DEAL.

As I noted before, i have an original brochure for options for accessories for the '95 Dakota, and it shows a colored picture of an "available" remote lock accessory THRU DODGE with nice picture of it and other accessories...can send FAX of it. The brochure notes must have power door locks...I have the factory power door locks.

send me your fax numbeer to prove it.

Thanks again, Herm

Oh, I don't disbelieve you have it at all!

There quite often are options that don't make it into the FSM.

RKE must have been one of them.

I'm thinking it was a Mopar dealer installed option; not part of the FSM itself, not part of factory wiring, but a "Blessed by the Holy Mother Mopar" :D so it would always be the same parts; just ... not factory parts.

(Think of the 89-90 'Verts or the Shelby V8.)
