Leveling - 2.5 or 3?

2991 Views 2 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Hump78
I have a 2011 Dakota. I'm gonna do a leveling kit on the front but can't decide between 2.5 or 3 inches. Leaning towards 3 but I'm curious if anyone has run into any problems at that height?
Also, ever purchased from Summit Engineering or Supreme Suspensions? Both on ebay. Reviews seem to be okay. Both aluminum.

Thanks!! :D

2.5" should be the most that you want to go, even with that height, the front end is going to get beat up pretty good. If you're 4wd, don't go over 2". Most guys go with either the 1.5" or 2" leveling kits.

With 2.5" +, you'll also need to lift the rear up a bit.
If you do a leveling kit, stay small as you can to fit the tires you want to run to avoid problems. I would say the 1.5" should be safe and not cause you any problems.
