I have the curse of the 04 dakota, which means no one makes a lift kit for it. Does anyone know if you can make modifications to use a tuff country lift or any other brand?
dont woprry man i feel your pain lol no body makes one for my 92 either so i just had to custom lift it lol depending on high you want to go i just went three inch's which was blocked the rear and cranked torsion bars in the front which surprisingly enough leveled it right out
There is thing I found if you don't want to crank up the torsion bars, which I haven't purchased trying to figure out which thing I want to do. Suspensionmaxx.com
How many inches can i get from a torsion bar crank? Any down falls to this method? Like suspension topping out easily??? I only want 2 inches. And I want to go with the crank option and some blocks in the back.
did any of the 2004 Dakota come with Factory lift, mine looks like it is higher than normal, how can I tell, I know there is a object under the leaf springs, before sitting on the axle or is that normal?
tuff country makes a 6 inch lift for 1997-2004 dodge dakotas but is $1,400-$1,900 i bought torshion keys and rear shackles from rough country for $250 and it gave me 3 inches. i now clear 35s with only wheel spacers.
Airbagit.com sells 4 and 6 inch suspension lifts. If you are wheelin the you might have to beef up some of the components. Look at the instructions off of the website before buying. Make sure you are comfortable with cutting you frame because there is no going back. I ended up with torsion keys and rear blocks. The ride is stiffer. I run 33,s and they rub on the bumper. I may go with a 1 or 2 body lift.
