My 2010 dakota won’t turn over. I replaced the battery and thermostat recently but after spending a night at the hospital she won’t turn over. She tries and tries but the rpms never go over 1k. What can I do to get her going again?

If she's not turning over, RPMs are 0.

Exactly WHAT is happening?

Does it not turn over at all? Does it spin, but not catch and start running? Does it spin, catch, but won't rev past 1000 RPM?

Which motor, which transmission, 2WD or 4WD (these may all be significant)?

It’s a RWD, has the 3.7 L engine with the automatic 4 speed transmission. I believe it’s trying to turn over but not catching.

You're missing one of them. Does it even try to fire?

It tries to fire but it just can’t do it. It tries for a good 10-15 seconds then stops trying.

Time to check fuel pressure at the rails then; you may have a bad fuel pump.

If it has enough pressure, then time to check for flow. I don't know what a 2010 specs to, but for older ones, it's a liter a minute; if you're not even getting that, I'd figure there's your problem.

Maybe just a clogged fuel filter, and/or water in the gas.
