Howdy, looking to upgrade my exhaust system front to back. Thinking cat forward performance headers and straight dual exhaust all the way back.
Anyone done any such like?
Wondering:
Any power gain?
What mufflers did you use?
How does the cat forward system work compared to cat-back?
Any need to re-map or re-chip, or re-tune?

My 02 3.9L truck is ext cab, 4WD, 5 sp manual- just to fill in the blanks

Thanks!

Our Dakota is 3.9 extended cab rwd 5 speed manual. I could not stand the sound. I found a Rock Auto
kit 3 inch cat back for a four wheel drive. That didn't help me but got me thinking. I ordered a 3 inch in
and out high flow OBC2 converter, up and down stream O2 sensors , a big 3 in and out Walker turbo
muffler. The shop cut the collector and attached the converter and built the 3 inch single system on back.
with a 3 inch SS tip. I'm pleased with the sound and look. My goal is better MPG and a little power. Steve
