Greetings all. New to this forum and just purchased a 1997 Dakota SLT. Has a few problems, but overall in decent shape. My passenger side door has a good size dent and I would like to swap it out with one from bone yard. Unfortunately, mine has electric windows and locks and their door although same color and year is a manual crank. Is there any reason I can not swap my electrical parts and install in the manual door? Never tried. Any "body" guys or gals out there that have knowledge of this?

You should be able to; might have to drill out some rivets and replace them.

However, my exact knowledge may be off being as how I own a Gen1 (1987-1996) Dakota, in which forum you posted; not a Gen2 1997 Dakota.

Might want to repost in the proper forum so someone who's actually done it can answer you.
