Does anybody have any ideas from their personal experience about the following problems on a 1992 dakota 3.9 liter with automatic.

Truck shuts down completely after approximately 1 hour of driving, then rest for 1/2 hour and it is good for another hour of driving.

Stalls at every stop

Brake light on dash stays on and brakes work just fine.
Thanks for any help

The stalling couold be from a faulty crank position sensor or even fuel related. Stalling at every stop could be a dirty throttle body/IAC motor. Check the brake fluid level. if it's full and the light is still on, make sure the parking brake is fully released;n try pulling the pedal up by hand.
