The motor is good. Previous owner just ran wires in under the dash to run it manually, so I know the motor is fine.

In the power distribution block, I checked the relay location. One pin is hot always and one is hot only with key on. I swapped the relay with the one next to it and nothing changed. I also put 12v to each of them and they both clicked.

Where is the thermostat that switches the fan off and on? I'm thinking that's the next thing I need to check.

Yes. I would prefer to have it back like factory. Could it be a problem with the ECM? Are there any problems that are common with these trucks that would do this?

The temp gauge works fine, btw.
