We have a 1992 5.2 Dakota 2 wheel drive, tag gone off the rear end. Could anyone tell us what the ratio could be as we would like to add posi trac. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know about your truck, but on my 2002 the diff ratio is listed on the sticker on the inside of the glove box door.

Thanks for the replies. We were able to check it out on the vin decoder and determined it is an 8.25 with 3.55 ratio.

It looks pretty straight forward . . . I think all you have to do is click on that VIN decoder link that OldMarine put in the first reply to this thread & then enter your VIV.
