My drivers seat belt buckle (where it latches into) is all fallen apart, still clicks into the buckle but the plastic housing is off of it so it's just a skeleton.

Wondering if anyone has swapped a rear buckle insert up to the front and if that would work? Doubt I'll ever have anyone riding in the back so would probably just do the swap for peace of mind on having a fully functioning belt for me driving.

Yes, They on the pre 1996 i know they are the same, left front and rear and right front and rear.. I needed to repair/rebuild mine, and when i pulled them compared, they are the same part number. If you decide to replace it from a salvaged vehicle use the back one, they don't get as much use. It's nice to have the "spring" back.
