I know this might sound silly but, I have had this 1999 Dakota for almost a year. I bought it used, and I cannot find the tire jack. I understand the old owner might have used it and not put it back, but I would just like to know where it was located from the factory. It is a regular cab with a 5.9 motor. I have looked under the two seats and under the hood. Thank you anyone that can help.

In the parts manual, it shows the jack in a bracket on the floor behind the passenger seat. My jack was also missing when I bought my Dakota, but found a good used one on eBay.

Tire Jack Problem

You might also check nearby wrecking yards. you might be able to find one there as I have found several original jacks still in the packaging under the right rear seat of an extended cab Dak.
