I just got a 2000 dodge dakota rt and it has a toggle switch under the steering column for performance shifting. Can anyone tell me how it works and do i only use it (for example) when running a 1/4 mile?
sorry I haven't been here in a while. the link tells it all. it turns the torque management off keeps the trans from slipping, puts it all to the ground. most effective with the 4.7 you can really feel it at wot. But O.D. don't work with it disabled, to protect the plastic gear. I disable O.D. alot anyways I only let my truck go into O.D. when on flat highway at cruise speed.
