I have always used Brad Penn break in oil now marketed as Penn1 break in oil. No local source in stock currently. What people do seem to have is synthetic high zinc break in oil. It is the zinc that harms cats and I break in my engines on a test stand with open exhaust. That's not an option with this engine build. I have always heard synthetic is to slick for the rings to break in correctly. I have also read where modern rings are already broken in out of the package with a properly prepared cyl wall. My race engines get 20 minutes on test stand 2000 and above 500 at a time checking timing, O2, O/P, W/T, fuel pressure, vacuum, oil temp if all good run it on up back it down and shut down. Torque head, check valves and head to the track. That's another thing what is the first start procedure do all the new sensors have to get to know each other? Steve
