I just bought my first truck, a 2002 Dodge Dakota Sport! One of the few problems it has is these white spots on the hood (and some other spots, but most of it is on the hood). The seller explained to me that it is from the undercoat of the paint coming through or something. It still looks like a beautiful truck but if it wouldn't cost too much I would want to fix it. Ever hear of something like this?

Thanks guys!

That's so frustrating...

How much did it cost to repaint?

Would you suggest me to get a full paint job, or just the hood since that is the main source of the spots.

Thanks!

haven't painted yet, have some minor body work to finish first. I am leaning toward a wrap instead of paint. looks like about 1000$.

Cost will vary with location, but here in central illinois it would cost about $1000- $1400 to paint your hood and roof. There's nothing coming through your paint,it's the clearcoat coming off, peeling away from the color coat.
